Two disparate worlds. People, thoughts and situations from the past are in contrast with the current setting. The characters are only residues, unstable quiver of the past, the spoken word is only an echo of the communist era. Although the past comes back, it cannot be repeated in the same way as before. On the contrary, it can give the impression of incongruousness.
The film was created in collaboration with the National Film Archive and Czech Technical University in Prague.
Among other things, Magdalena Jetelová’s exhibition (DES)ORIENTATION thematised smoke as a sign in a post-totalitarian state. Short film Procession was a part of this exhibition.
